This February has passed by in a flash at Prizm Media. Our strong start in 2015 is continuing well into this month and beyond with office news, events, galas, and upcoming events. It’s been an especially exciting month for our Client Services Coordinator, Raluca Vetrici, and our Co-Founder and President, Karina Hayat, who has been representing Prizm across the city.

Raluca, our wonderful Client Services Coordinator, is celebrating her 3rd anniversary here at Prizm Media. She has lived all over the world but now calls Vancouver home. When she’s not working hard, she enjoys spending time with her twin girls and close friends, reading, hiking, and biking. Raluca’s an integral part of the marketing and production department, and the rest of the office. We don’t know what we’d do without her in the Prizm family – thanks, Raluca!
Social Media Mastery
Karina and Arielle, our Content Writer and Social Media Specialist, took part in the Social Media Mastery seminar at the Diamond Ballroom. Experts from every major social media platform concrete strategies and advice on how to best use social media for businesses. Prominent figures like Ricky Shetty from Daddy Blogger, Steve Dotto from Dotto Tech, and Vincent Ng from MCNG Marketing wowed the crowd with information on how to build brands and get leads through blogs, YouTube, and Pinterest. It was fantastic to hear how Prizm Media can use these methods to stay ahead of the pack in the tech industry and lead generation.
Pacific Venture Competition and Conference

Karina had a jam-packed schedule in between the Social Media Mastery seminar and all the other events she took part in. One of the most prestigious was the 7th annual Pacific Venture Competition and Conference, where she was a judge alongside of other notable North American entrepreneurs, industry professionals, and venture capitalists. The national competition and conference was designed for university undergraduates and MBA students to showcase their business ideas and financial valuations. Congratulations to all the winners and participants of PVCC 2015!
Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE) Gala

Karina also attended the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs’s (FWE) event The Odlum Brown FWE Gala: Get Social! at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel. The gala was the largest FWE fundraising event of the year with over 450 business and community leaders coming together to celebrate female entrepreneurship. The panel discussing social media and its role in business was a definite highlight of the night, and featured Ryan Holmes, the Founder and CEO of Hootsuite, Michele Romanoc, Co-Founder of Buytopia and SnapSaves, and Jamie Michaels, Head of Brand Strategy at Twitter Canada. Karina made some wonderful new friends and enjoyed an opportunity to network with fellow entrepreneurs.
Six:Forty Presentation

There’s no rest for our hardworking President. On March 3rd, Karina presented at BCTIA’s fast-paced event, Six:Forty. Some of the biggest tech entrepreneurs had 6 minutes and 40 seconds to breakdown how they became successful and what they learned along the way, and how others can follow their example.
