The month of January has flown by here at Prizm. While we have been busy getting 2015 underway, we are excited to announce two new great additions to the Prizm team! Aman joins the team as our new Call Auditor, and Arielle has joined the Prizm family as the new Content Writer and Social Media Specialist. We could not be more excited to have them on board, and look forward to watching our Prizm team continue to grow throughout the year!
What’s more, January 28th marked the date of the 2014 Forty Under 40 Awards Gala. As you may know, our CEO and co-founder Zeeshan was named to the Forty Under 40 list in 2014, and we are so proud of all of his accomplishments. It was a great way to start off the year, and we know that more successes are on the horizon!
Mapping Your Meals: The Truth About Diet Tracking Apps
As you may know, Prizm Co-Founders Zeeshan and Karina Hayat have recently launched a massive update to their innovative diet and fitness-tracking app, Kudolife. Kudolife is designed to make improving your diet and lifestyle easier by utilizing incredibly accurate tracking technology to show you exactly what impact your fitness efforts are having. By monitoring your diet (calories in) and your fitness (calories out), Kudolife provides a practical tool that takes the guesswork out of attaining and maintaining a healthier lifestyle.
This month, to celebrate the recent launch of Kudolife’s fitness tracking tech, we are going to share some of the benefits of using apps like Kudolife when it comes to reaching your personal fitness goals.
Take the Challenge Out of Counting Cals
Counting calories is a component of nearly every weight loss plan these days, but do you really know what it is that you’re counting, or if that count is even accurate? According to a study from the International Food Information Council Foundation, roughly nine out of ten people have no clue how any calories they actually need in a day.
Fortunately, diet and fitness apps like Kudolife come pre-loaded with a massive database of meals, portions, nutritional values, and calorie counts to take all of the guesswork out of managing your meals. WebMD suggests that keeping a food diary could be the key to shedding those extra pounds, and what easier way to keep track then with a few simple button presses on your iPhone? It’s quick, it’s easy, and it’s always in the palm of your hand.
Find Your Balance
While counting calories is an important first step, it’s equally important to balance your new diet with your fitness regimen. Though this may seem complicated in theory, fitness apps – particularly Kudolife – allow you to track not only the calories you are taking in, but also the calories you are burning when you walk, run, and cycle. The best part? It’s all automatic! You can see exactly where you are in your daily caloric budget with just the press of a button.
Finding your balance is a great way to keep your training plan on track, but it also allows for the flexibility that a lot of fitness programs just don’t have. If you’re enjoying your city’s local food festival, or maybe on an exotic vacation, you’ll know exactly how to modify your next workout to get your caloric budget back on track!
Savor the Support
Sometimes, finding motivation is the hardest part about staying committed to a diet or a fitness routine, and having a workout/diet buddy or a supportive community can make all the difference. In fact, the American Psychological Association suggests that social support helps not only in the initial weight loss effort, but also in the maintenance of weight loss, ensuring that the pounds you lose stay lost.
With diet and fitness apps, you are given instant access to an enormous community full of like-minded people with similar challenges and goals. With respect to Kudolife, users can give another “Kudos” for healthy meal options and successful fitness breakthroughs. Embracing this community is a great way to get that extra boost of motivation on days when lacing up those running shoes seems impossible.
Diet and fitness trackers truly have revolutionized the way individuals approach their health goals. The ease and convenience of having your calories in and calories out automatically generated in the palm of your hand really does represent the future of fitness.
